SCF collaborates with a variety of groups and individual experts to offer workshops on topics related to urban agriculture and sustainable living in the city. The goal of these workshops is to bring community members together in a learning environment that promotes community food security, proper care of the land, and helps people build the skills needed to grow their own food.
Third Annual Urban Farm Skills Day
Topics included Homebrewing, Home Cheesemaking, Intro to tools, Backyard Chickens, Composting, Medicinal Herbs, Pollinator Gardens/Habitats, Soil Building, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), Beekeeping, Farm tour with harvest tips, AND Fermented Vegetables!
