Night on the Farm

The 2023 Night on the Farm was a blast, and we’re getting ready for 2024! Join Sprout City Farms on September 21st, 2024 from 5:30-8pm, for our annual farm-to-table fundraising event at Mountair Park Community Farm. The night will be full of farm-fresh passed appetizers, drinks from local partners, farm tours, a silent auction and booze pull, live music, and community!

Save the date because tickets are now available!

Our Night on the Farm is an annual fundraising event that invites our community to celebrate and enjoy the very best of our farms’ abundance with the help of local partners! This farm-to-table hors d’oeuvres event is always guaranteed to fill your belly with food and heart with community fresh from the farm. Whether you’re having a date night out, enjoying a group of friends, or riding solo, your local farm is definitely the place to be.

Guests in 2023 enjoyed live music from Confluence Music Group and Henry Sherman, as well as activities including a silent auction and booze pull! Enjoy a hearty abundance of farm-fresh hors d'oeuvres alongside cocktails and beer pairings from local partners!

We had an amazing lineup of renowned local chefs who will be transform our vegetables from the farm into delicious small plates. We enjoyed the delicious culinary imaginations from: Alex Astranti (returning for his third Night on the Farm event, previously the lead chef for the DGS Farm Dinner!), Andrea Murdoch of Four Directions Cuisine, and Tim and Erin Kuklinski of Bistro Vendome!

2022 Night on the Farm Events

While the event at Mountair Park Community Farm was sadly rained out, we still had so much fun at Denver Green School Community Farm and The Farm at Jack’s Solar Garden! As of 2023, SCF is only hosting ONE Night on the Farm event per year, so keep an eye out for 2024 ticket sales - you don’t want to miss it!

2022 FARM DINNER AT DENVER GREEN SCHOOL COMMUNITY FARM

Before dinner, we kicked off the evening with mocktails and field tours with our farmers to showcase our work in community food access, education, and sustainable agriculture.

Guests took the opportunity to enjoy the 6-course meal at community tables to get to know fellow guests, or reserved a private table for a more intimate experience. This option will be available again during 2023 Night on the Farm ticket sales.

Dinner was prepared by Executive Chef Alex Astranti and his team from Mercantile Restaurant!

2022 Night on the Farm at Jack’s solar

The second annual Night on the Farm event at Jack’s Solar Farm featured cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, farm tours, and live music! This event was put on in special partnership with AgriSolar Clearinghouse, as it was a stop on the “Follow the Sun” national agrivotaic tour.

We filled our field with farm-fresh small plates and hors d’oeuvres, drinks galore from local breweries/distilleries/shops, live music, and plenty of activities! We kicked off the evening with field tables of Sprout City Farms and our research partners to showcase our work in the burgeoning field of agrivoltaics. It was the perfect opportunity to learn about the work of our research partners at National Renewable Energy Laboratory, University of Arizona, and Colorado State University!

The night included an auction of local goods and experiences, so be prepared for some friendly bidding competition! We also enjoyed the live music performance of local band members of Distance Walk.

Tasty food was prepared by local chef Sean Gafner, of Longmont favorites The Roost, Jefes, Smokin Bowls, and Swaylos Tiki restaurants. Guests enjoyed not only a solar-grown meal but also pairings with locally-brewed beverages from Laws Whiskey House, Westfax Brewing, and Colorado Cider Company!
