Welcoming the 2026 Farm Crew!

Last week we set aside time for our whole team —farmers from both DGS and MAP, plus “Outfielders” (who don’t work in the field as often, including program, development, and leadership staff)— to get to know each other, get acquainted with the day-to-day, receive some trainings, and understand where we’ve been as an organization and where we’re going 🤗

Some highlights of the week included:

* Functional Movement workshop taught by our friendly neighborhood physical therapist to help us stay strong and avoid injury on the farm,

* Training with Harm Reduction Action Center at MAP

* Autism Center staff from DGS spoke with DGS team about working with neurodivergent youth

* Sharing activity to get to know one another better followed by staff potluck

New Flower Share!

We're so excited about our new 12-week flower share that we are offering at DGS, featuring organically grown bouquets with a diverse selection of beautiful, seasonal blooms. Some weeks will also include creative surprises like dried flowers, flower crowns, or pick-your-own experiences.

Right now we have celosia, asters, snap dragons, bells of Ireland, eucalyptus, euphorbia, and gomphrena going in the greenhouse, with more to come!

We invite you to brighten up your home with our weekly arrangements. Pickup will be at the Denver Green School Community Farm on Wednesdays from 4 pm to 6 pm starting July 15th.
