Mountair Park Community Farm

Mountair Park Community Farm (MAP) is a 1.5-acre organic vegetable farm established in spring of 2014 in partnership with the City of Lakewood. It is located at the corner of 13th & Depew St. in the SE corner of Mountair Park, adjacent to the W line light rail tracks, bike path, and 40West Arts District ArtLine.

The farm was built in response to residents’ requests for more access to fresh, healthy food and community gathering space in the neighborhood (the top 2 needs expressed throughout 2013). A Community Advisory Committee composed of neighborhood stakeholders and partner organizations has previously helped guide development of the Mountair Park Community Farm and its programs. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering to be part of a renewed Mountair Park Community Advisory Committee.

Ways to get involved:

We average 10,000 pounds of food produced each year, distributed within the surrounding community. See the 2026 schedule of no-cost farm stands on our Farm Stand page. We also donate produce each week to community partners.
Educational opportunities include programs for local schools and youth organizations, community events, volunteer days, tours, workshops, and vocational training through an internship and apprenticeship program.

MAP is back in 2026!! In 2024, we paused operations to rest the land after 10 seasons and reassess the farm's potential to meet its surrounding communities' changing priorities. In 2025, we conducted a series of Community Listening Sessions while hosting our partners at Ekar Farm to lead food production at the farm. In 2026, Sprout City Farms is thrilled to bring back full programming at Mountair Park!

Based on community feedback, wants, and needs, we made the bold decision to distribute all of our harvest at no cost, and seek to replace the revenue lost from not selling produce through donations, grants, and community support. To steward these efforts, join our Community Abundance Circle!

Find the farm:

The Mountair Park Community Farm is located in the southern portion of the park at 5620 W. 14th Ave. Lakewood 80214. Because it can be hard to find the farm from the Mountair Park parking lot (where most map apps will send you), please use the address of the building across the street to navigate to the farm site: 5600 W 13th Ave. Lakewood, CO 80214.

Parking is along Depew St or in the park’s parking lot off of 14th Ave. From Depew St, walk down the hill and you will see the farm at the corner of 13th & Depew. From the Mountair Park parking lot, follow the sidewalk down the hill and you will see the farm’s “lower field”—continue on the path as it curves to the East and you will see the farm’s “upper field” located at 13th & Depew St. Look for us on the farm by the red shed and big yellow tent.
