Jack’s Solar Garden is Sprout City Farms’ newest and largest site, located in Longmont in partnership with Jack’s Solar Garden, a local Longmont social enterprise; Colorado State University, University of Arizona, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and Colorado Agrivoltaics Learning Center. Alongside partners, Sprout City Farms will be pioneering an innovative farming practice called agrivoltaics, where food is grown underneath solar panels raised six to eight feet off the ground.
